The Kent Freeman Arena, located at the fairgrounds in Detroit Lakes, was originally built in 1960. It features a 85' x 195' sheet of ice along with the seating capacity to hold 1500 people. In 1999 a major expansion project was completed which greatly enhanced the facility.
This expansion included an additional 85' x 200' sheet of ice along with 8 new locker rooms, restroom facilities, and a commons area which houses the new concession stand. The original arena, known as arena #1 is the main rink used for games and tournaments. Arena #2 is mainly used for practice and youth hockey games.
