Peewee / 12U is generally for players ages 11–13.

If your player needs equipment, please contact the DLYHA equipment manager.

The season begins in mid-October, with player evaluations scheduled for the week of October 26. Evaluations are conducted by qualified former players or coaches who are either outside DLYHA or do not have children playing at the travel levels.

For 2026–27, the planned teams are Peewee A and Peewee B2.

Travel games begin in mid-November. DLYHA aims for each team to play about 35 games, with up to three tournaments. Tournament counts may vary by level, while the goal remains an appropriate number of games for each team.

The program focuses on the Learn to Train stage of USA Hockey’s American Development Model and follows Minnesota Hockey’s Minnesota Development Model. DLYHA also uses the USA Hockey Skills Progression guidelines for 12U players.
