The countdown to hockey season has begun!
Registration for the 2026-2027 Detroit Lakes Youth Hockey season is officially open. Whether your player is returning to the ice or joining DLYHA for the first time, we can't wait to welcome everyone back to the rink.
DLYHA is committed to making hockey affordable, fun, and accessible for every family. Don't forget about our Free Hockey – The DL Way program, which offers free first-year registration for eligible players and free equipment for many new skaters.

Registration Night is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, pick up raffle tickets, learn about volunteer opportunities, and get ready for another great season.

Keep your skills sharp this summer!
Our annual DLYHA Summer Hockey School is back and designed for players who want to improve their skating, puck handling, shooting, and overall hockey IQ before the season begins.
Players will receive quality instruction from experienced coaches while enjoying a fun, fast-paced environment that focuses on skill development and confidence.
Whether you're preparing for tryouts or simply love being on the ice, Summer Hockey School is a great way to stay involved.

Every child deserves the chance to play hockey.

Through Free Hockey – The DL Way, first-year eligible players can receive:
FREE DLYHA registration
FREE hockey equipment (with refundable deposit)

⛸️ Learn to Skate Begins in August
Every hockey player starts with skating!
Our Learn to Skate program is the perfect introduction for young skaters who are ready to build confidence on the ice.
Players will learn: Balance, Stopping, Turning, Basic skating skills, Fun games and activities
Whether your child dreams of playing hockey or simply wants to become a stronger skater, this program provides a safe, encouraging environment.
